While i was feeding my lo tonight i noticed that her left ear is alot floppier and sticks out slightly where as her right ear is completely normal. Is this something to be concerned about? Shes only 4 days old so only just noticed this now. Noone else has mentioned it so im guessing its not that obvious xx

Hi, I seem to remember my DDs features being all squished for a good week or so after she was born. One of her ears had a fold in the top which has now completely gone. I'm sure she's absolutely perfect hun but if you're worried mention it to your MW or HV at the next visit.xx

Imogens had one ear squashed in at birth...i called it her cawliflower ear (like rugby players ears, although it was never that bad)... one day no idea when, may be four weeks later i suddenly noticed it was normal again, so quite possibly your babys ear will grow to the correct shape too after a while!

Congratulations xxx

Their ears do tend to come out all scrunched up. I'm sure the other ear will catch up and uncurl soon.

My daughters ears were very folded at birth and when I was holding her had to watch I wasn't squashing them she is now 1 year old and they are all sorted by themselves and have been for a while

Thanks for the replies ladies. Its not actually folding over its just alot softer and the rim bit at the top hasn't curled over as much as the other ear. Im not overly concerned about it just wondered if it was something that is likely to correct itself but if not its bearly noticable xx

It's likely to correct itself. My daughter had really weird tops to her ears for ages and when she laid on one side, that ear would squish itself into a Spock-like ear shape! If I remember correctly it was like that for a few months.
