what does everyone do abotu putting their babies down for naps during the day? joseph will have a small brief nap in his bouncy chair in the morning but wont sleep all afternoon. sometimes he goes all day without a nap and i am amazed. after 4pm he is so grumpy and i cant seem to settle him. have tried this week putting him down in cot in day but hes not having any of it. he will sleep in the car but i refuse to drive roubd every day just to get him to sleep. does anyone have any idseas to try so i can get him into a better routiene. i guess im lucky that he will go down at 8pm at night and sleep for about 10 hours but surely he needs sleep in the day aswell?

i had the same problem and in the end i got into the routine of going out for a walk in the afternoon. i quite enjoyed our walks. it gets you some fresh air and hopefully will encourage little one to have a nap.as time went on and mark got more active he started napping during the day but will still only go down in his push chair. its strange as he goes down in his cot no problem at night but if i try to put him in cot during the day he screams. hope this helps.
Eefie has snoozes with an eye open and gets in foul moods coz he's grumpy yet when daddy comes home he'll be out like a light 5 minutes before he walks in the door whilst i'm a gibbering wreck by then 
He'll snooze ON me but the place goes up if I put him down.
