Please can those of you who regularly wear your babies recommend the best type of sling?
I was hoping to go to a baby show next week and try some out but am not feeling confident enough to go so far away from home

we think we want a sling type rather than a carrier as they look more secure and comfy for everyone but the internet seems the only place to offer a range and i am confused by all the different styles
Also did you wear them from birth and for how long?
thanks!

I liked a corrie pouch (brightspark slings) for Joe which was a good newborn sling.. I didnt wear one after that but I have heard a lot of people recommend the mei tai and baby hawk.

I've got a fleece one off ebay...obviously haven't tried / tested it yet, but its soooo snuggly and looks very comfy!!!

I've got a moby wrap and it's great - I use it every day

I was the same :D the coorie was brilliant for Evie when she was newborn, I then moved on to a babyhawk mei tai and both have been brilliant.

You may want to put 'baby sling' into the search engine at the top as there are quite alot of threads on them. Here's a link to the longest babywearing thread you may find useful - make yourself a cuppa first!

After much research I bought a Moby wrap as it seemed to be the best one for us. I've only used it with a doll and a heffalump so far :rotfl:
I also made a ring sling and put the cat in that :rotfl: He liked it! :D

I wouldn't have any eyes left if I attempted to put our cat in the sling...

We have a selection of slings and lil miss hates every single one... mind you if shes not sucking on mummy's boob she hates everything.... :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
