Baby rice gives Ellie wind & just doesnt seem to agree with her, I need an alternative that I can mix with her puree's as shes not really keen on the veggie puree's on their own as they are too strong (cant really blame her )... any ideas?

what about chick peas, pureed down. Lots of the baby recipes seem to have them in it.

i think they are quite bland. They are a humous ingrediant.

ooo can they have that? thats a great idea for veggies to be mixed with.. when they are a paste they are really smooth..you can buy them in a tin but think i would buy dried and do them myself because there is probably salt in the tinned ones. i mix avacado with fruit and that works well he really likes it and its really healthy.. like you jo im looking for an alternative..im at the end of my cereal and baby rice boxes with him..and need an alrernitive lol..will let u know if i find something xx

Thanks girls, spoken to HV today and she said try potato with stuff so gunna give it a go :D

Oooh sorry it's a bit late but I have been looking for an alternative since I heard about the high levels of arsenic in baby rice. I found Holle have some really good alternatives...we got the Millet and it's really nice (tastes like ready brek) and it's gluten free :)
If you go on the actual website it tells you all the vitamins that it contains

We use Organix baby rice and Plum Baby porridge to thicken purees
