baby refusing left boob?

strange post but my lo is refusing my left boob.

now this morning i have noticed a red rash on this left boob and also starting to feel tender.

any advice please?

Could it be a blocked milk duct? Haven't got any advice about refusing. My lo often refuses my right, sometimes changing his position helps. My friends lg would always refuse one side so she stopped off the other.

My lo always favoured one over the other, I called it pudding boob lol! Rash and tenderness can be a sign of mastitis so if it gets any worse or you find yourself with a temperature then get it checked out x

My lo always prefered my left to my right, drive me up the wall, all I could do was keep offering abd hand expressing a bit off. Now I'm down to 3 feeds I do twice in the right abd now she prefers the right to the left. It's hardwork breast feeding, good luck x

It might be the start of mastitis x my Lo stopped feeding on my noon that I got mastitis in. If you start feeling flu like it could be mastitis - if so get to docs for antibiotics x x x

If lo isn't feeding well off that side - express now!! Get in a warm bath, or lean over a sink of warm water, and express, express, express!!! Having just had mastitis, it's horrible.

Work out where its lumpy and focus there as that's likely the blocked duct.

Also, just keep offering LO that boob. I've been told before that it's not necessarily baby favouring one side but mum... I've not experienced it, and mine will take food from whatever source, probably even the dog if it was possible, so it's unlikely this would be an issue!!

Thanks ladies,
I did express a cple of times from the left, and not much milk seemed to come out!
But the redness has gone today and lo did feed just a little from the left this morninh.
Think I will have a warm bath later and express and again.
