I am going to start taking Dan swimming with a mate and her little boy in a couple of months and was just wondering how many of you take your little ones swimming?

If you do, at what age did you start taking them? :)

 I posted about this the other day: it's the 'How Old?' thread

:cheer: I can't wait to go swimming with the baby!

We go swimming once a week usually and started about 10/11 weeks :)

I am going to do this too - planning on trying the underwater swimming as I have the training with my teaching ;)

U can start as soon as u have had your 6 week or 8 week check from the doctor - u don't have to wait for the baby to have had their 1st lot of jags.

We're going to start taking Jacob but I thought we would have to wait until he'd had his 3rd lot of imms at 4 month? :?

That's old advice - clicky - its fine to take them now anytime from birth.

I took my DD (she had had no injections at this point) at 5 1/2 weeks and she absolutely loved it.

i think millie was 2 or 3 months when we first took her. she went nearly every week until just before christmas (so til she was 6 months old) but we havent been since! gonna start taking her again soon

Finn was about 11 weeks when I started him at lessons and he's only just starting to enjoy it! (but that's him..he can be a grumpy devil!)

I think I'll take Dan at around three months :D

we took leah on sunday (she was just over 11 weeks) and loved it :D

We took Ben for the first time the week after his frist set of jabs - he hated it!!! He goes every wednesday since and absoultely loves it! He loves sitting on the side and dropping himself in the water! You'll have great fun

my first started swimming classes when he was 4 months, this one will start in Sept (5 months, as that is when the term starts) but it is recommended that they have had there first jabs, but nescessary.

I have some great underwater photos of my 1st. well worth doing

I always thought that they had to be 4 months and had their 3rd imms.

Looks like I've missed out on all the fun. I have been counting down the days until I could go swimming with Adam, and I could have went all along. xxx

ive not took mia yet..will be taking her next week :D :D

My brother took his daughter Edie for first time when she was 4 months. She didn't really enjoy it but after going once a week she soon became inseparable from water :)
