How happy was I yesterday when all the items I had on ebay for sale sold!! Making me £270!!

How unhappy (thats putting it politely!!) am I today that my old mobile has been bought by a fraudulant poop it Africa!!! So I never made £93 on it!!!!

All morning I have been on the phone to Paypal as this poop has sent me spoof emails from Paypal asking for the item to be posted before Paypal will release the funds - just as well I have a brain and spotted this was dodgy!!

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!

oh no what a bummer.

i had an email that my spam filter picked up that was supposedly from Paypal saying a trasaction for a new pc was going through my account for $699 delivery address in america. said if i hadnt made this transaction please click cancel transaction

thankfully i get normal emails from paypal so was pretty sure it was bogus or my spam filter would have let it through. checked my account and it was fine - no transactions. i guess if i had clicked on it it would have asked me for account details to access my account - or downloadede a virus - or both

YEh this is a common scam they will offer you 2 to3 x the amount that you want for the item, and ask you to take an extra 100 plus what you want for the item, but when you cash the cheque or bankers cheque it initially clears but then about a week later it will bounce so you lose what you have sent and get no money.

I know how you feel we were trying to sell our boat, and it won on a winning bid of £16500 so we were really happy, but then we got no response from the people, we phoned them and they knew nothing about it, so we never sold it. I found out last week it was a 15 yr old kid that had bis on it, he made an account using his sisters details! i really hopehe got a bollcking. The lad started talking to me on msn saying he'd screwed me up haha! and when i told him where he could go and that he was very sad with no life, he started saying 'i'll do you nan' at this point i deleted and banned him! Why do people have no brains!

I recently got an email off someone threatening the police etc for something I sold only I dont sell anything on ebay lol! It was a spoof.

And another was a woman giving me mouthfuls of abuse over a bluetooth headset I bought, never worked, took it into O2 who confirmed it was broke and after several attempts to contact the seller she didnt respond so I left her a neg. She emailled me screaming abuse that the set worked and O2 knew jack shit and how her husband is a tecchie etc. It only took her 14 months to reply!!!! Silly bint

I bought a "designer" dress on ebay for £80 for a works do in November, in the pic it looked gorgous and was described as silk and satin, when it finally arrived (2 weeks after promise and had had to spend another £100 on a different dress!) it was cheaply made ie hand sewn badly, and was polyester, and oh my god the pic didnt show a split all the way up to the crotch lol
