Arrgghh... Nursery etiquette

What do you do about sending cards to LO's nursery friends. Jake received a card from one friend who ('s mum has written them out to all the babies, so do I write one back to that kid, or all of his friends. Problem being I dont know who his friends are as there a 3 different groups! I might have to ask the staff in the baby room who his baby friends are even tho I'll feel pretty awkward.

Arrrrghhh Also do I send one card to the nursery as a whole or to each member of staff? Gosh hope I dont leave anyone out

We provide a card list for parents at our nursery if parents want to send out cards. Id ask the girls id they have a list and if not just ask them to jot down the other children in his class. Most parents buy a box of choccies or biscuits and give it to the girls with a card. This year now as im also a parent as well as a nursery nurse Kyran will be giving the girls that look after him in babies a christmas card just saying 'to all the girls love Kyran and a box of choccies.

Dont worry too much us nursery nurses dont expect to have prezzys or cards off anyone and arent offended if we dont!

Seren has come back with cards from nursery the past 2 years - I never send then to ehr friends from her as she has absolutely no concept of it and I think its a waste of time and trees (she can send her friends cards when she knows what they are and can write them herself). I just send one to the nursery from us all. They do send out a friend list though.

This is the first time Lucy's received Christmas cards, so I was a bit surprised to be honest! What I was planning on doing is asking the nursery for a list of names of her friends which they have done in the past for birthday parties etc. There's only about 10 children so we'll probably send a card to all of them but when there's more we'll keep to just her friends.

while ive escaped this dilemma this year, next December i will be very much in beanies camp. no cards other than a general one to all of the staff!
