I know theres a couple around here aside from me lol, Are your boys gonna be home for christmas? If not.. what are you thinkin of sending them for christmas?!

Shaun wont be able to come back for xmas, and I have no clue what to send him :wall2:

Hey!

Mine is going to be here this xmas but he has spent 2 xmas's in Afghan since we have been together! Is he away as in Afghan?

Sending stuff there is a nightmare coz of the weight restriction and things we arent allowed to send! I just sent lots of sweets, choc (but it sometimes melted) pictures, maybe if he has a laptop make a video and send over a memory stick with it on. I also sent out things like tinsel a mini xmas tree, and santa suit etc to make things a bit more xmasy! Also cd's and dvd's... i used to send out nuts mag, pack of cards, poker chips, crosswords, sudoku and things like that!

xxx

This is my kinda "List" of what im thinking of sending.. does it sound ok? and yeah its to Afghan.

Chocolate and macadamia cookies (prolly homemade, his favorite)
Christmas scented candle
A soft toy
Christmas themed movie (any ideas for one? i dont want one thats been overdone and will bore him..)
Mini xmas tree (I think poundland still do those?)
Mini christmas wrapped pressies (Small boxes of sweets, gum, little amusing stocking fillers?)
Candy Canes
Playing cards
And a card of course :)

Whaddya think?

Yeah that sounds good!

Im sure poundland will do mini trees if not maybe supermarkets.. i got one from sainsburys last year. As for the xmas film, i'm stuck... i'm rubbish with remembering films! Ooo im liking the candle idea thats a nice one, never thought of that. Will keep it in mind for the future! Sure he will love it xxx

I think it should be cooling down over there so you may be OK with choc. My fella is home this year but spent a couple xmasses in afghan. If he likes it (which I know some don't) - what about stollen slices or a mini xmas pud? Think you should be able to get the individual ones from somewhere

Popcorn always went down well with our lot and any bread products that you can find will be appreciated too cos they don't get much of it out there.

Packed today, To be shipped on friday!

Ended up getting him a mini LED christmas tree, batteries for the tree, snow globe, christmas teddy, candy canes, socks (with cheeky xmas messages), gingerbread cookies, chocolate chip/hazelnut cookies, and christmas crackers..

All wrapped individually to put round the lil tree, and each one has a mini christmas card in with it, with a little xmas joke so he has a few to stand up on display, aswell as one proper card from me.

And I threw in some sparkly stuff to make it look nice (and to bug him when he opens the box LOL) Took me half an hour to arrange everything in the box to fit! But I got there eventually, I did mean to take a picture of the inside, cause it looked fab, but I was too paranoid about getting the top on!!

How do you all manage it :( I'd go nuts I think your amazing women :) xx
