Well im buying a fertility monitor from mel&bean were it takes ya temp and stores it and tells ya when ya OVing so fingers crossed next month I might know better whats going in with my cycle.... I guess its like charting for for dumb ass blonde's like me!!! fingers crossed it will work for me!!!

Do you think as a species we've lost track with our own bodies?

I was just thinking back to my cat when she got pregnant, she only went out twice and then had 4 babies 9 weeks later (sneaky devil cos I thought she had been done!) I mean she knew that those 2 days were the time, instinctively she knew she'd need a place to give birth long before they were due, then she knew how to bite their cords off and eat all the placentas

How come as humans we're a bit lost off with all of this?

Yeah I agree holly, I knew very little about what my body does to prepare to be pregnant and also the TTC stages, its quite embarrassing as a woman to not know whats going on in ya own body!!!

Identical twins are when the eggs splits in half, non identical are when two eggs are released and fertilised. Interesting stuff!

so what happens when twins is on the blokes side.... does it mean that its totally up to the womans body if you get twins?? is it just an old wives tale when it comes from the mans side?? like my bf has loads of twins in his family does that mean it dont matter unless its identical twins!!!????

Lol i used to be a nanny for 2 sets of twins so I know alot about them lol

Yup its completely the womans body that affects having twins, obviously if they are identical and the egg splits thats nothing to do with either parent. It's old wife's tale about the mens side having an effect. The only hereditary twins are non identical ones and that is all from the womans side of the family ( most researchers believe). So if you wanna know if you may have twins look through your mums side of the family, also eating yams and taking lots of folic acid may affect it and beign over 35 lol.

I'm over 35 (well, turned 35 in May), I have no clue if there are twins on my mother's side of the family and I take lots of folic acid in my multivitamine suppliment. What are the chances of me having twins? Secretly hoping for twins

god yeh I would looove twins, or triplets lol. I told my OH and he was like " ermmm lets see how our first pregnancy goes" lol like I can chose to have them! Silly men

emerald roses i say you have pretty good chances lol. Also twins are higher in women who have had several pregnancies. Get eating those yams! I think the studies with the folic acid showed that women who took large amounts of it increased their chances of twins... google it

fingers crossed hun need to find out some way and from what I can see its charting the easy way I will just have to see if I notice much difference with my cm
