Anyone with Virgin Media?

Sky have fucked me off right royally. We've been with them for YEARS and now our box is on the blink they want £155 to give us Sky+. It seems offers are only for new customers

I've been looking at Virgin and I think we can get Broadband, phone and TV for £30 a month. We currently pay £18 Sky and about £40 BT phone/broadband so we could save.

But are Virgin any good? I don't know anyone with it

hun if you ring sky explain to them that u leaving if they dont give you sky+ box for free.

they will soon change there minds i know loads who done same including me hehe its all competition especially at moment.

Well I can only say that my experience with virgin was a bad one. I used to be with NTL on the £10 a month package for 2mb broadband and then it changed over to virgin before our 12 month contract had ended. Well when it became virgin they really messed us about.

They kept changing us to different sized broadband packages and charging us £50 a month for the large package when we were only recieving the small package which was what we signed up for. We spent months and months trying to get it sorted and then we finally did. They agreed to give us an extra 9 months on the £10 a month package. They had actually stopped doing that one you see once it turned to virgin media. We agreed.

What we didnt know and that they didnt tell was that they had tied us to another 12 months by doing so and the last three months would be charged at the medium broadband size! We had no choice but to pay it!

I have Virgin for my broadband and phone and Im only with them because BT would charge me £130 to install a line or I wouldnt use them! I have had loads of messing with them! They have over charged me several times and wont give me my money back? They have cut off my phone and BB just because they *think* I owed them money several times! They have put my bill up with no explaination several times too! It would be so worth it for me to just change to BT and pay the £130 but just dont want to The min BT say its free even for someone with no line I will change! And probably get my BB off Sky too!
Oh I dont have the tv package off Virgin as they dont have digital in my area??!

we are with virgin and have had no problems internet is nice and fast tvs ok except for the bloody remote on the v + box it can be a bit off a bugger to get to change channel but its not that much of a problem !!

We have been ntl/virgin media customers for years (even when they were diamond cable ) and never had any problems. They have always repaired our box for free or replaced it if they couldnt fix it. Only been a server problem once for about 12 hours in the 3 years we've lived here. We pay slightly more than the £30 pack because we have upgraged our BB (because of OH's gaming obsession )

Would def recommend them from the experiences we have had

we have been with virgin for years. we also have the 3 for £30 package and we have never had any probs

We have virgin and have never had any major problems at all. The good difference between sky and virgin is that virgin still own the v+ box etc so if it ever breaks they come out and replace it, with sky you own it so once it is out of warranty you have to pay for any repairs/replacement.

I think its just different areas! A lot of people I know love Virgin and never have a problem yet me and my sis are forever having problems with them! Just my luck haha
