Hi all
Anyone thinking of a natural birth after c.section

Hey I'm in two minds saw my consultant today got till 19th Dec to make final decision but feeling alot more positive about trying a natural labour

I am! I was offered a 2hr 'course' by my hospital that went through all the cons and pros. The course was fab and I'm definitely trying for a natural birth this time.

Xx

Nope, elective section for me, unless the hospital can guarantee me a stress free easy labour or by some miracle my baby isn't as huge as theirbig bbrother was!

Im early days yet but I had my paper works for my appointments through the post today. And on it it said VBAC Iooked it up and it seems both have risks so I am unsure but has I say it's early days at the minute. Last time I had an emergency c section and was put to sleep and always aaid I would have an elective c section

I've opted for a section again as I refuse to go overdue (long story but I felt something was going wrong when overdue and the midwives didn't listen to me then i very nearly lost my son at 40+10), but if I go into labour naturally before 39+2 I'll be delighted as I'd love to try natural labour x

I'm a doula, I've personally attended two vaginal births after c-section. From all the research I've done to support these mums I've come to the conclusion that under specific circumstances (e.g. baby's position), VBAC is considered a safer option for mum and baby.
But you need to make your research before you decide. And prepare your mind and body for labour if you choose to go with a VBAC :)

This is the same has me I was put to sleep etc.
I have my vbac appointment on Wednesday will see what they say.
But I have been saying I would like another c section cause I will know when he is coming unlike last time x

I had my appointment yesterday.
She basically said I can choose what and I want.
She has put me forward has if I was having a c section but I can change my mind because she said it's easier to make appointments etc now rather then doing it further down the line cause they can be cancelled anyway.
I was shocked that she said that being put to sleep for a c section was rare. I had to be with little man and I didn't realise it was rare x
