..or is it just mine? This is the second night that Rosie has gone to sleep at 9.30pm. I dont know if its the heat or what but its doing my head in. Ihave had an hour of controlled crying and it brought me to tears!

Im ready for bed now and feel like I have had no time to myself at all. I was going to give myself a DIY pedicure as OH has gone out but now Im too exhausted. The only saving grace is that she is sleeping until gone 7am so I do get a good night's sleep - just no time for me in the evening! :wall2:

No rosieMum your not alone here

Mine are much, much older, but I have always had this problem and still do, I can still hear my youngest chatting away to herself now at 22:10pm !

I think you might be right tonight - prob a good chance it's the heat tho making her restless, Is she in nappys ? could she take a beaker to her bed/cot with her ? (you could take it out later, it might calm her and help her cool down)

Hmm yes she has a thin vest and shorts on, mostly to stop her taking her nappy off. I leave her beaker of water in her cot with her too. The trouble is I can't open her window because of the black out blind and if I leave the door ajar with the fan on she cries! Anyway, her door is ajar now to let the air through and she is sound asleep - phew! Its just getting off to sleep thats the difficulty. Fingers crossed for another good night now she's in the land of nod!

I cant win with dolly if she dosnt have a sleep in the day she is crying to go to bed at 5.30pm and then I know she will have a bad night waking up alot and moaning and be up before 5am, or if she has a sleep in the day we have the same as you take her up and she crys. We have been just leaving her cry it out but as she has only been toilet trained for a few months she knows as soon as she shouts toilet I will be up there so she trys this on alot and at the moment I darent risk not taking her everytime she asks. I think I could do with a black out blind tho as her room is very light and I dont think that is helping. But then other nights she go's up reads her book sing baa baa black sheep and you dont hear another word from her.

I have been having this for about a week now too and it's driving me crazy. My son used to fall aleep on his own but now always wants me in the room and now he's taking over an hour to fall aseep, always with a lot of crying along the way. Its as if he isn't even tired at bed time. Yesterday I cut out his afternoon nap but even that didn't work. I put him to bed at about 7.15 and he didn't sleep until 8.50.

I had this last night, katie just didn't want to go to sleep! I let her CIO cos I knew there was nothing up! Then just as I was going to bed she woke up too! In the end I had to leave the hall light on for her cos she wouldn't sleep in the dark!
