anyone elses baby grizzly in the heat today??

ruben has been vary unsettled today, not sleeping well for his lunchtime nap and constantly wanting boobie, but only for a couple of minutes each time. i reckon it's the heat that's made him irritable, and he's probably thirsty hence drinking all the time. (i managed to get him to drink some water, he has never wanted water before, just chewed the teat - but today i reckon he was really thirsty as he gulped down 3oz even after just having breastfed!!

Snap. Seren is being a right little devil today, very grizzly and nothing is making her happy. Constantly wanting the boob too which I guess is because she is thirsty.

Ella has been a nightmare, we've both been here in tears. She's been feeding almost constantly the past few days and I am exhausted. Feel like a zombie! She just had such a fit that her lips all dried up and went wrinkly because she was crying so much. Is now flaked out on my bed.

looks like that's what it is then! gonna give ruben his bath now, hopefully he will settle well tonight. gonna put him in a short sleeve vest in his grobag tonight, then at 10pm if he seems chilly i'll put his sleepsuit on. think this summery weather has taken us both by surprise! lol

i've managed to get a sunburn too, as i didn't have any more factor 50 left and factor 30 just doesn't help my fair skin at all... ouch. looks like ruben and i can share the same suncream! (only he's really dark skinned as he's 1/4 african so as he grows up i'll be dead jealous of his nice tan!

Jack has been alot happier today than normal anyway, smiling and laughing.

I just made sure he has plenty of water, babies react differently to weather.

Poor souls, they can't tell you when they are too hot like Amy can either.

right he's completely zonked out, 1/2 hour before his usual bedtime! i did his bath a bit cooler than usual today, he seemed to like that. then after his massage he fed quicker than i've ever seen him feed before (and he is a quick feeder most of the time!) he was sucking very greedily indeed! when he'd finished he just rolled off my boob and was flat out. he woke a little when i tried to wind him, but he seemed to tired to even burp, just sat there with a floppy head and looked confused! i put him in his cot and within 5 minutes he was away with the fairies! i just hope his early bedtime doesn't mean he wakes early for his late evening feed, but he's missed a lot of sleep today so hopefully he will be fast asleep until 10pm as usual.

Rubie has been a lot happier today too. I took her into my work she gave everyone massive smiles. I have made sure she has had plenty of fluids though, she wont take water so I gave her really diluted baby juice.

Aimee has been the same apart from she hasnt wanted to feed & bringing most of it up. she has been quite sleepy tho, put her down for last nap at 5.30 and i had to just go get her up - think she thought she was there for the night! dont know if should have got her up not really as she aint a happy bunny now !

Are you putting them to sleep in grobag still or any bedding? its 25 in her room at the mo ....?

i just put ruben in his grobag with a short sleeved bodysuit (it's 24 degrees in his room at the moment but this will cool down i think as the room is north facing and quite cool in the evenings) i keep checking him to make sure he is not too hot/cold, and if it's chilly when i wake him for his feed at 10pm i'll put a sleepsuit on too. i considered just putting him in a sleepsuit, but he's so used to the grobag i think he'd not settle well without it.

I put Ella to bed in her vest and sleepsuit with a thin blanket over her, but it got so hot in our room that I took the blanket off. She settled fine without her grobag. Iv also got what is like a sleepsuit with long sleeves but the botton is like a gro bag which is good.

I tried giving Ella water yesterday but she wasnt interested, she used to like it though, if she needed it I suppose she would drink it if she was thirsty? Duds Ella was also off ehr milk yesterday, she missed out a whole bottle, she did have her jabs aswellt hough so may have been a bit off!

lol it seems really weird you saying how hot it is there, it's freezing here lol, can you imagine how Abi was when i brought her from the uk in feb to Oz 37 degree heat it was a mare, can't wait to come home in 2 weeks to nice weather again, i've done 3 winters in a row all barr a couple of weeks lol. Although it was great through my pregnancy lol. x

Dior and Harley have been fine at the mo as our house is cool but it looks sooo hot outside, im not going out as i hate the heat i hate going abroad to.
heat makes me sooo moody

Ash has been really sleepy the past couple of days and a grumpy pants aswell.....but saying that he went 3 days without a poo so that could have caused the grumpyness!
He slept in a vest and baby grow last night....no grobag for him!
