Anyone else convince themselves that af is coming to avoid the disappointment when it does. Been ttc for 6 month this month I’m convincing myself af is coming as I hate the disappointment of thinking this is my month and then the witch comes.

I think it's a normal thing to do, I know I did it when trying for my daughter. And I used to tell myself it was OK and paint a face on, lie to myself and my partner and feel dead inside for days then you just look forward to the next ov and hope and pray that's the one!
Getting af when trying for a baby is one of the most horrible feelings ever... I can assure you what you do and feel is completely normal and I bet your not the only one!
Food luck for this cycle x x x

Toooootally! I think it's just part of human nature to prepare yourself for the worst in a botched attempt at protecting yourself against disappointment. I think, because of the fact that about 70% (thanks GG for that info) of embryos don't implant, it's hard to convince yourself that you are, in actual fact part of the 30%. I think, to an extent, it's ok to be realistic but I do try and hold the candle of hope and not fall into a deep dark pit of pessimism (because that won't help either and it's unhealthy in my opinion). FX hun :dust:

Yes! Every month. Been trying for ages...think it's normal. Good luck!!!! x
