Got a surprise last week. While I am thrilled in one way I am also terrified. My last pregnancy I had bad HG from about 7 to 13 weeks. I could barely eat or drink and couldn't get out of bed. I had to have iv fluids multiple times(which was a lifesaver) and I lost almost 3 stone. Although I had bad sickness in all my pregnancies, none of them were as severe as my last one. Praying this one isn't that bad. I am about 4 weeks now and suffering from constant nausea and occasional dry heaving but haven't thrown up yet. I am sure it will be hitting me worse in the next week or two. Wondering if there is anyone else with HG or bad morning sickness? Might be nice to complain to each other, lol.

Hi Bunny, im so sorry you are feeling sick and I can sympathise.

I am 12 weeks with my second pregnancy and the symptoms are very different. With my first I felt completely fine up until 4 months and then suffered with sickness until he was born but i could manage it by eating and still go to work, although it was really unpleasant.

This time around however, from 5 weeks I felt sick and at 6 weeks I have not been able to go into work because I am dizzy, neausous and physically throwing up my meals everyday. I have only left the house twice in 5 weeks and that was to go to the midwife and the doctors. I hate being inside but I feel so ill and I panic that it will never end.

At 12 weeks now I only throw up once a day and the nausea and dizziness is a lot better but thats only if i lie down. I can't even walk to the bathroom without nearly passing out, my vision goes black and I have to sit down and I am sweating and my heart is racing.

I have found one thing that seems to make me feel well and its so weird but I thought I would share it. Its lying in the bath. For some reason, a warm, full bath seems to take my symptoms away. I sit in there for 2 hours each time. My Husband runs me a bath every day bless him.

When you are living with it it feels like forever, but it is only temporary and I keep having to tell myself that all the time.

I hope you feel better soon.

xx

I will have to try the bath.

I keep telling myself that it won't last forever too. Another 5 weeks feels like forever now but once it is over it's not that long in the scheme of things.

I had it with my son, it nearly killed me (literally) I was supremely nauseous from 3 weeks and sick from 6 weeks until 36 weeks, lost over 3st and it gave me low iron, low blood pressure and I couldn't keep any antiemetics down and had a bad reaction to one so they wouldn't let me have any more. The only thing I found to help was mints seemed to stop me feeling nauseous! Was still sick but less so with mints.

I had it so bad this time. I hardly had ms at all with my first so this was a bit of a shock.

I ended up being admitted to hospital for 3 time between 5 and 11 weeks and worked out I was given a total of 16 bags of fluids :(

Finally they have found a tablet that seems to be keeping the sickness under control (well it has for the last week so fingers crossed) still feel nausea though.

I was just wondering how you are getting on? Xx

How is everyone doing? This is my third and the sickness has really kicked in over the last few days I’m 6 weeks and and feeling really down about it. I have a 2 and 4 year old and I feel so guilty as I’m just lying in bed not being able to do anything. This was planned but I’m regretting it almost now as I feel so bad and I’ll. I know it’s temporary but at 6 weeks you feel like there is a mountain to climb before the end result!

I'm 5 weeks and keep getting terrible nausea and dry heaving on and off. I did buy some ginger biscuits and lemonade as they're supposed to help? Touch wood the heartburn isn't too bad!
I'm definitely open to trying new remedies.
