Im hoping to get one when I move, do you have one??

I already have 2 Beagles but just want another addition!!!

nope sorry hun but they are lovely dogs i beileve my stepdads mother has 1 or 2

I have read that they are non moulting and excellent with children.

Be sure you have HELL of alot of time for it if you do, they are a hyper intelligent breed that need to "work" and have to be busy all the time, if you don't leave puzzles and games for them to do they will destroy your home,
Good luck if you do get one though :D

Beagle or Bichon?????????????? Beagles are high maintenance

Bichon babe, my sister is a dog trainer and dog psycologist (sp) and believe me these are her main clients :rotfl:
Beagles are hard work too needing lots of exercise if your coping well with two of them i reckon either the Bichon will fit in well or create merry hell :rotfl:
Beautiful doggys we were looking at a possible Beagle when we got our new pup in December, ended up get a Parsons terrier bitch who gets along great with ma boy (Westie) shes a fruitloop though

Ah thanks.

Would you ask your sister what is the main problems they have. My auntie had one and my friend has one and they are as good as gold. Could it be puppy farmed ones???

Yep no problem am ringing her tonight so will ask then for ya honey

I wanted a bichon frise too, until my friend put me off she has one, like said above its hyper and constantly requires attention.

My OH has put me off since we are TTC,... he said i already require too much attention let alone a bichon frise.

Beautiful dogs tho, i also love the maltese dogs as well!!!!

Oh my friend only found a bichon frise after 6 months of huntin one down in scotland.

Hi flower sorry i didnt get back on last night!
Yes i spoke to her she said they are VERY difficult dogs and basically backed what i said, they are also "top dogs" in the sense they aren't fantastically social with other family pets as they want to be the boss,
But at the end of the day babe its your choice and your doggies, the fact you cope with 2 beagles is wicked!!!
Good luck and let us know what you do,

Hi FeeFee

Thank you for speaking to your sister.

Im very undecided at the moment as Ive spoken to about 6 or 7 different breeders around the country for advice and they have not advocated that behaviour. They said that they do like company and do not like being left all day on their own which I wouldnt do to any breed of dog I think that is unfair.

I really want to get this right, a good little dog, that is good with children other animals and doesnt moult for England, any suggestions???

Its completely up to you sweetheart, if you have your heart set on a Bischon then get one!!!
All doggies come with traits just some are more managable than others,
The fact you are thinking of another hound when you have 2 beagles means your a pretty experienced dog owner (imho) as they are meant to be hard work.
If you are thinking of another dog search the net for tips and also have you thought of a cross breed?
