I am due an elective section probably week starting 22nd of September. This is my first baby but have had surgery in the past which puts me at high risk of a 4th degree tear. I should, hopefully, get my date next week.
Sounds like you are an expert at it now, with four previous! How have you found the recovery from them? Must be harder with each one having more little people to look after!!
Wow! I'm going to get sterilised during my 3rd - my choice. My second was a planned one and it was far easier than my first which was an emergency one. It was great! I never found the recovery particularly bad tbh. My first was more painful for a couple of days and I couldn't stand up straight for days, but I'd been in labour for 36 hours and had pre eclampsia so I quite unwell before it. My second I was discharged from hospital within 24 hours of him being born and was out shopping 2 days later!
Wow MrsM sounds like you did fantastic after your second. I am finding the idea of have a date set quite reassuring - I love to plan and find the thought of at least knowing there I'd a date I won't go past quite helpful!
I am having an elective on Monday. First was awful, emergency after 20 hr labour, failed forceps & ventouse, lost 2 litres of blood, had a lot of blood transfusions, got infections galore. Reeeeally hoping this one runs smoothly & I get home quicker than a week later xx
The recovery isn't that bad really I have my partner an my mom is coming to stay with me for a few weeks to help look after the other children so that's a big help, with my last 3 I stayed in hospital for 3 days I was up an out of bed the next day. I'm seriously thinking about getting sterilized too as I know I don't want any more children. Good luck coco for tomoz planned sections are so much more relaxing than emergency ones I can't wait to have mine lol
