Any miracle cold/remedies suitable when breastfeeding?

I have developed a stinker of a cold as per usual for me on NYE... Am thinking that I'm still limited on hardcore drugs so have dosed myself up on vitamin c and homemade honey and lemon lemonade...
Anyone else?

Really hot bath then sleep sleep sleep! Worked for me last week.

My doctor told me I was only allowed paracetamol and to stick my head under a towel over a bowl of hot water... My friend was really ill a couple of weeks ago though and was told that Actifed and Sudafed are ok to take while breastfeeding - might be worth asking a pharmacist. Hope you feel better soon x

Ooh tell you what is good - hot water, juice of one full lemon and Manuka honey if you can get it. I wait til it's on offer in Holland and Barrett and then stock up because it's so good.

^^ that sounds a bit like our version, whole lemon cut up & lemonade in a small pan, heat up (it makes about 2 mugs) and pour over spoon of honey...
I spoke to pharmacist on NYD and he would only advise paracetamol, not even any cough sweets or anything...
