My mum is doing my head in and I just want to check something.
I had my contraceptive implant put in in October, and since then my mum has had one done too.
Thing is, she's had her tubes tied when my younger brother (Craig) was born (1986) but she ended up pregnant with my youngest brother (Simon). So after Simon she had her tubes snipped. That happened in 1992.
Since then she's had a half hysterectamy.
So why would she need contraceptive? When I told her I was having the implant done she made a big deal of getting a coil removed and the implant put in.
What I don't understand is why she'd need either of them in the first place if she's unable to have children in the first place?! She's now 45 (well she will be on the 22nd).
Can anyone shed any light on this for me?
