No, it's about a detective who loses his wife, and has OCD as a way of coping and tries to find out what happens to her and solves a lot of crimes along the way.

I've watched a few episodes of monk! It is quite good. I might buy the box set

I liked Monk because in a lot of episodes they gave you all the clues to figure it out. Unlike Agatha Christie who always has some random fact or connection at the big reveal at the end which was so random you'd never stood a chance. Although I preferred the first assistant to the second. They binned the first coz she asked for too much money when Monk got really popular.
