Anti D injection

I had my first one today and it was a doddle!

Anyone worrying about it please dont, its stings for a couple of seconds while it is going in but thats it.

The hardest part for me though was trying to hold cotton wool on my left arm after she took blood from it then trying to hold cotton wool on my right butt cheek after the jab. Was a very difficult and twisty time.

I felt like that with my first 1......I think I had worked myself up to be so worried about it (would it hurt/ where would it go etc) that it was infinitely better than I had made it up to be in my head.

Had my 2nd one last Monday which hurt a bit more than the 1st as I thought - yeah, anti d, no problem......but saying that it doesn't hurt it kind of tingles...although having said that it hurt more when she took my blood too, maybe I am just being a wimp of late

Its really nothing to worry about though....and all for a good cause

I had my 34 week one today. The mw was really good and it didn't sting too much. Some mw's seem to have more skill with needles than others. Some make it really hurt. She also took blood from my arm and I hardly felt it

There's definitely a skill to sticking needles into people...
