Hi everyone,

Ive got my appointment for my anti D jab on Wednesday and I was just wondering if they do anything else at the appointment? Is it literally walk in, have the jab and walk out again or do they do any checks on bubba and me at the same time? Just want to be prepared really!

Sorry for peeking in on Tri 3, but I have one at 28 weeks too, and was wondering the same thing, despite it still being a long way off yet. Apparently it's plasma they inject you with, not a very nice thought, but all for the best. Hope it goes ok x

I had my first lot this pregnancy last week, they just do a general check up as per usual then give you the anti-d, you have to sit for 5 minutes then that's you!

I had the joy of giving blood plus being injected with anti-d, great fun!

Thanks for that :) It all sounds routine enough on the letter but just wanted to check. Hope they dont want my blood, I had it taken last week and Im having it taken again at the midwife on Wed (busy day, anti d followed by the midwife!) and getting blood out of me is awful!! I bruise like anything all down my arm and they always have to do both arms as it never comes out properly first time! Just as well Im not scared of needles :rotfl:
