another new member!

hello everyone, i'm ellanor, 25 and just over 10 weeks preg with my first baby.
i've just discovered this forum and i'm totally addicted already!
it's comforting to know that i'm not the only one who worries about EVERYTHING!
i've not seen a midwife yet, feel like i should have already but since i'm new to all this i don't really know whats supposed to happen!

Congratulations and welcome.

This place is great isn't it. I was told I probably wouldn't be contacted by my midwife unit until 10 to 12 weeks but I think this varies from region to region.

Welcome and congrats on your pregnancy!

I think seeing the midwife really depends on your situation and where you live. If its your first and you don't have a history of problems then 10/12 weeks sounds about right.

Hiya, welcome to the forum & congratulations on your pregnancy! I went to the doc last week & was told that the midwife would probably call at around 10 weeks but she actually called 2 days later & I've got my first appointment on Thursday! Last time with my son I was in a different area & had my first appointment at 11 weeks.

As the others have said it varies from region to region but if you're concerned that she may have forgotten just call the midwife (or if you don't have a number for her call your GP who confirmed the pregnancy).
