Hi all!

I've been lurking here for a while and thought it was time to burst out of the bushes or whatever... 8 weeks pregnant, due Jan 13 if I'm right, and seeing the midwife for the first appointment today! I can't wait for someone to finally acknowledge it, up to now I've felt that it's just been like "Congrats, you're pregnant, you'll know what to do, see you round!"

Been with OH for 10 years and married for 7 but only just got round to thinking about family now we're a bit settled - we're both 29 now. Absolutely over the moon! OH is like a stag one minute (he's so impressed with himself) and a mother hen the next!

I think i've been lucky so far reading this forum, just a bit queasy and off quite a few foods. HUMUNGOUS BOSOMS - I shriek every time I look in the mirror - and really knackered in the afternoons. I yawn my way home from work every day and glued to the sofa. Usually I love exercise but I've been a bit light-headed and tired and looking forward to that wearing off so I can get back into it - would love advice from keen gym peeps.

Big  to all you girls from me and froglet!

 hiya welcome to the forum! and congrats on ur pregnancy!
ur symptoms sound exactly like mine were at around the same stage.
time will fly i'm telling u, b4 u kno it youll be due in less than a week!
i'm not a keen gym peep! i did used to do thai boxing but i'd quit doing that about a year b4 i got pregnant anyway. i do expect tho that you'd hav to change ur exercise regime to suit pregnancy, & u should inform ur gym/trainer whatever immediately. oh and youll probably be really tired for all of 1st tri! (and then too big and immobile for 3rd! joys! )
enjoy the rest of ur pregnancy x

welcome to the forum! congrats on your pregnancy   :cheer:

Thanks for nice messages girls

Are weird cravings / not being able to handle certain foods mainly a first tri thing - hoping they'll settle down a bit!

The other day I had 4 slices of toast with marmite and banana - it was what I wanted more than anything in the world!

I'm a bit off pasta, strangely!

And I'm reverting to my childhood - I want things like mince and dumplings, sausage rolls, sticky buns, dairy lea! I love my food and normally eat anything so it's strange going back to my pre-teen pickiness!

congrats on your pregnancy. donbt mention dumplins lol im starting to want them now haha!
xxxx
