A lady is coming to see me on Tuesday about me becoming an Ann Summers rep.

Has anyone here done it before and was it worth it?

I'm a bit nervous.

i used to do it, i loved it u just have to be confident and know what ur talkin about. i gave it up when i was pregnant coz i was workin full time aswell n needed the break.
the only thing i didnt like is that they conned me out of 60 quid at the end of it.

I used to be a rep but about 20 years ago (showing my age now!!!!!), dont know how much its changed but I loved doing it. The only thing that really used to bug me is when you delivered the stuff the hostess didnt have all the money etc and you then had to pratt around redoing your paperwork etc for the returns and having to re-work out the hostesses and your commission and finding the time to bank the money, as i said though it probably has all changed now. i would suggest that you go out with a couple of differant reps so you can see how they work and then build up your own 'style' (we used to do training nights for new reps).
the raffles were a great way to earn extra money for you if you have a large group.
I also built up my kit so I had a big kit, underwear and noveltys , the more stuff you have on show from the catalogues the more you're likely to sell, it does take time though as you have to pay for the stuff, though they're sposed to give you money back when you stop and return the kit.
also, if its the same as when i did it, from your first few 'bankings' they'll deduct money from your comission for your starter kit.

It sounds the same kind of thing as Avon, where you have to pay for your kit out of your first few takings etc.

do you get to try all the toys out..i was always under the impression that ann summers ladies had a huge stash of dildos and strap=ons etc, they are always so well informed

I did it a few years back. About 80% of the time it was great, had a laugh and earnt good money (once got £200 in one night!) But some nights you'd sell next to nothing, make about a tenner and have to run round sorting the order out and delivering later etc

If you are very pro-active with it, it can be a great success. No harm in giving it a try! Ooh and you can't be scared to get up in front of a room full of strangers and start waving a rubber one about!!

I used to do this, love dit too!! The raffle is a good way of making money when the night is slow. I did Avon too, but hated that and got conned out of £80 when I finished. Ann Summers is a ball! You get paid to attend parties!!!
