We have been using our angelcare sound monitor for a while, but hadn't installed the movement pad as LO was not sleeping in the cot in her room. We are hoping to put her to bed in her cot tonight, but reading the manual it says that we should use a piece of plywood under the sensor pad. Did those of you with this monitor do this? Will it still work ok without? Thanks for any advice, ladies! :)

Hi Hun we haven't used a plank of wood we've just placed it on the base of the cot and it works fine x x

Thanks, sue, think that's what we'll do. :)

Same as sue xx

Oops! Don't tell my OH - I've just dispatched him to B & Q for plywood!! Ha ha!

I use a doubled up bit of cardboard with holes poked in it. Cheap I am.

We tried it without any wood or anything, but it didn't work, so I put a thin hardback book underneath and that seems to have done the trick. No air circulation holes though. Are the holes vital? X
