My LO is going in his own room next week, so I'm thinking about getting an angelcare movement monitor, my only reservation is that he often pushes himself to the top of the cot, will this make the alarm go off or will it still detect him breathing? X

We've used one with both boys and they quite often ended up flat across the top or bottom of the cot...in all the years we've been using it it's maybe gone off 3-4 times, always when they were right at one end but 90% of the time that they do end up as far from it as possible it still works fine - hasn't put me off using it at all! x

Mine went off occasionally but I loved mine!

Is it usually the same end of the cot? If so I would push it slightly that way rather than centre, not too much x

Oooh good idea, why didn't I think of that! X

As the girls said only very occassionally if he's squeezed right at the top, on his side usually. In a way it's nice to know the alarm does go off. I'd recommend it to everyone, it has to be my best buy for baby!!
