Angelcare Monitor Problem

First of all, forgive me if I posted this in the wrong place, but I don't use the forum as often as my OH (Charlene09) lol so I didn't know where I should post it...

Anyway, we bought an Angelcare Minitor (This one) from kiddicare, and we set it up today. The problem is, when the adult monitor is taken off the cradle, it goes off, it will not keep charge for some reason.

Anybody know what the problem is?

I would open the battery case, take the batteries out and put them back in ...try again! If it doesn't work then it's faulty I'm afraid.
