Angel care monitor help needed

Hi all hope your having a lovely bank hol
Just wondered if you could help, we have the angelcare monitor with mat. We are going away today and lo will be sleeping in a travel cot over night, the mat can't be used in there as it's not a hard base. So we have bought the monitors without mat.
Can you use it with out mat? If do how?

Unplug the mat? Would it just work like that?

Yes, you can use without the mat - that's what we have been doing thus far. Only just going to attach mat tday. Ave a great break away!

We tried just unplugging it and the alarm sounded :-/ did you do anything to settings?

Yes, you have to reprogram the parent unit. Can't remember how we did it now, but it was one of the menu settings.

I think you have to push the buttons til the picture of the ticker and the waves disappear and just the picture of the person talking is left.

It probably is a bit late now but might be of use for other AngelCare users; but our "usual" cot is also not suitable as it is a cot bed with just slats rather than a solid board. What we did was fold down the box our monitor came in and used that as a solid base for the mat.

It works well and might work in the instance of travel cots; although we have not used that ourselves.
