Who puts a bit of butter in porridge?

I do it because my mum does
and i think its makes it taste better

My OH has been taking the mick out of me all morning,
Saying noone puts butter in porridge/ready break ect...

Now i feel.. strange...

So is it just me and my mum? :D

If you dont, and aloso think im weird...
what do you put in yours?

I put butter in my porridge always have since I was little. My OH thinks Im strange and takes the mick too.

No your not the only one..... i laughed when i read this because OH used to laugh at me aswell when we first moved in and he watch me make porridge.

I put it in because thats the way my nan has always made it and i just think it makes it creamier. I don't put it in Harrisons though, he doesn't know any different so its best not to put it in his.

Haha!

I feel so much better now.......

Im not on my own..

I always put in butter :D it's got to be Lurpak though!!

Nope I dont, I always have to have brown sugar with it though. Harrison has his plain, milky or with fruit :D

I'd never even thought of putting butter in! I like honey or banana in mine! :D

no I don't put butter in.
I like honey or jam in mine. Or nutella mmmm.

Salt... We were only allowed salt on our porridge as a kids... because my dad said only "English scum" put sugar on it... :rotfl: :rotfl: Of course my mum had to remind him that I was technically English having been born in London. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Porridge is technically a savory and therefore suppose to have salt on it (half scot here, always reminded of it).

But I actually like to put raisins and a bit of honey in it, 1 it's healthy and 2 tastes fab!!!!

i have never ever wondered what salt would taste like....
