Due my fingers swelling up I've had to take my engagement ring off 2 months ago. For the last week it has been upsetting me. It hasn't bothered me before but now it is. My OH says I am just being silly as it is just a ring but to me it isn't just a ring, it is a very important part of me!

Noo i had to take mine off a little while ago for like a week and i kept twiddling where it should be and felt like id had a leg off or something, ended up putting it on a chain round me neck til i could get it back on, so i could twiddle away !!

Oh no!! I can't take off my wedding ring, that's not because I'm pregnant tho I'm afraid! I hated not having it on at times before though, really feel for you!

I totally understand I only got married in March and really hoping my hands dont swell so I can't get my rings on cause it means so much to me to wear my rings from my husband but if they do swell would definately rather take them off then risk having to have them cut off like my Mum had to when she was pregnant! Wont be long and you can wear it again!

I got married when pregnant and couldnt wear my wedding ring cos my fingers were swollen, i was gutted but it doesnt leave my finger now :D

I had terrible swelling in my hands... my rings were gone by 17weeks...

although I wore my engagement and wedding rings on a chain round my neck instead... You can't help it when your fingers swell but you can still "wear" them :D

I've taken off my engagement ring as my fingers have gone up a bit and am dreading taking off my wedding ring - hopefully i won't have to but if i do i had considered getting a plain silver or gold ring for a tenner or so in a bigger size to wear instead. i feel naked without my rings!

 Like scatterpatch said get a chain for it. I would be upset if my ring didnt fit its like part of me. (Im not married but wear a ring all the time)

I tried to put it on earlier as I was getting really upset, no way will it go back on!! :? However, Ewan gave me a present earlier... a chain with the ring on it. He must have read your thoughts ladies! It cheered me up but I still feel a bit... lost without it on my finger. I usually twist it around without realising it and when I don't feel it I panic like I've lost it. At least I can wear it around my neck!
