am i being silly?

af lasted 3 days (which has been normal for the last few months), but then today i've been throwing up this morning and started bleeding very light pink (not a colour i've ever seen sorry TMI) I dont know when i ov because despite trying to find out using temperatures and cervix checking, it would seem i stay about the same most of the month. Its only around AF when things change.Is it possible i could OV right near af or am i just not ovulating at all. last month im sure i felt it, but it was quite early. or maybe i could have conceived just before af, it could still survive right? i mean some women have periods right the way through their pregnancy.

I'm just being silly arent i? chances are i've caught a bug, hormones are playing up and im just trying to see what i want to see.

Have you been to your docs?
If youve been ttc for over a year they should help you.
If your temps arent changing then it does sound like you have the possibility that you arent ovulating.
I would have see my doctor

i saw my doctor recently because i thought i was pregnant and i pointed out that we had be TTC for over a year and he just nodded. i want to go but 1) i dont know what to say
2) both me and OH are overweight so im not sure if they will help us until we have slimmed right down( which is hard for me cuz i put on a few pounds just by LOOKING at anything yummy)

I would definately go and see your doctor. I was feeling the same as you, i've had problems with an irregular cycle since coming off the pill and i also put off going to the dr because i am overweight but i finally went yesterday and i'm so glad i did. She said my weight wasn't really a major factor in me not getting pregnant she was more concerned that there was a hormonal problem or possibly a thyroid problem. Although i hope it's none of these, i at least feel that i'm making some progress and that my weight isn't as big an issue as i thought. Getting blood results next week so will see if anything has shown. If the Dr you saw before is not very understanding, could you see another dr? it seems to be a bit hit and miss as to wether a dr will give you some help after ttc for 1 year. my dr said that once i'd reached a year ( currently 9 months) then she would refer me on. As you've been ttc for much longer i would def go see someone else who might be more sympathetic.

Hun, whether you're overweight or not does not mean you don't deserve the same treatment as everyone else and if your dr is being an arse get a different one. I'm overweight by a lot and when I went along asking to get tested as we were having problems she didn't mention it once. They'll send you off for bloods first and will probably do a 21 day hormone test to check if you're ovulating. Then, if they aren't conclusive they'll refer you on to the fertility clinic to test your hubby and may offer you a laparoscopy to check your tubes are all in good working order.

Totally agree with the above. Overweight or not, if you've been TTC for a year you are entitled to help. I'd go just for the sake of it, not that anything's wrong necessarily but it's always best to get the ball rolling early (we are getting referred after only 2 m/cs).

Thinking of you. I have no practical advice except not to put yourself down about being overweight! You're still a human being who deserves medical attention when you want it!!!

thankyou so much for all your help girls. i want to give this to all of you for boosting my self esteem too.
i've tried to see a different doctor before and they wouldnt let me saying i can only see my own doctor, but you have inspired me to play up merry hell to get seen. as soon as the new year is in, i will get this ball rolling
