Hi Girls,

I have only just found out i am pregnant and I am absolutely knackered! Body working overtime like everybody elses to make my little miracle. Me and DH went to work this morning and he has still not come home (it is 8.10)! He had a meeting and then Had to go to the gym :wall: He is a very fit man but I would have thought that he could have helped me look after my little girl at least. Since I have been in I have: cooked tea, changed the beds, unloaded and loaded dishwasher, put two lots of clothes through wash and tumble dryer, brought bins in, bathed baby, put her to bed, cleaned bottles, tidied up after little girl.

I know I sound like I am moaning - well I am!! Any advice??

tell him, but i would try and put it more like you want to spend time with him, not so much that it would be handy if he pulled his finger out and helped around the house a little.

don't push yourself to hard, make sure you don't hurt yourself doing too much.

Thanks Sam and Alice,

You are right - I don't want to have to keep on nagging - that won't help the situation. Perhaps I should just leave certain house chores and just look after my little girl. He will soon see that things need doing and I am not going to do everything.

Feel better for just posting this message!

Heya, sorry you've had a tough evening playing Cinderella

If this was me, I'd probably make a cuppa snuggle up with OH on the sofa and just randomly mention that I'm feeling reeeeeeally tired lately and it would be great if he could help out a bit more with stuff. I'd probably say "ah my back nearly went early doing that bloody washing!" with a little giggle and make it sound like "help me my knight in shining armour!"

All men love to be needed... :D xxx

I made mine read the bit for dads in the pregnancy book when I was about 8 weeks as I was knackered. After he read it he said he didn't realise how tired I would be and since then he's been really good. He's had to learn to cook otherwise we wouldn't have eaten for the past 4 months  .

Thanks Dannii and Hazel!

Yes that's a good idea - I might make him read my pregnancy bible. It has actually been a bit better tonight...no gym! He said he was going to go after baby had gone to bed but then couldn't bee bothered!!
