Im probably not much help as we use the flip and sip. I dont like the valve cups, seems like too much sucking is required and It always seemed to put them off when I wanted them drinking.
We used these for Seren. We also have this one which is what I take out with us as you ca close the spoutto make it noin drip. I hate valve ones, and remember milk alsocontains sugars which will pool round the teeth.
We tried a doidy which was ok but Seren was used to tipping up a cup to get water out so got wet a few times, and we also had a go at these but TBH they were a pain and Seren was better at drinking out of an ordinary cup (though at the moment she likes to use these with her peppa pig straw)
Out of those we use the first cup you posted about this one, and so far its the ONLY one Isaac will drink from. He does know WHAT to do with cups, but he chooses not to, and if we give him a normal cup he will stick his hand in, play with the liquid, then tip it out, then drink
I don't like valves in that he just doesn't seem interested in figuring them out and I get a bit anxious when he doesn't drink especially when its warm so I'm sticking with the one linked above. As for any mess, getting it everywhere, surely you're used to a bit of spillage by now Personally, after trying 6 different cups, I find the TT 4+month first cup the best to date
