AF late...

AF is late but all my tests have been BFN!! Not usually late...normally v regular (I track them on mymonthlycycles.com - always every 27 days)
It's very frustrating, thought I might have had a BFP but I was so desperate for it to be there that my eyes was playing tricks on me!! (DH checked it and it was neg)
My luteal phase is shorter than average - only 10 days so maybe I'm not giving my body long enough before testing but now my AF's late I don't know what to think!
How long does it have to be for your body to start producing detectable HCG? I thought that I would have had my bfp now that AF's late? Knowing my luck AF will start tomorrow

I think it varies from woman to woman as to when a pg test will show positive. I think the earliest is about 10 dpo normally. For some people it takes a few days after AF is late.
There have been quite a few girls on here who have had AF very late.

I'm in the same sit. AF is 6 days late today, did a test 2 days ago and got a BFN. Does this mean there's still a chance of BFP? Or just a late AF?

my period is 1 day late as well and a big negative at mo, i think docs say give it two periods missed or used to in olden days....i will try again in few days if i dont get my period

Well I've changed my ticker now. Day 1 today, time to start again! I know it will happen eventually. Thanks for all your words of support - it's great to chat with people who know how you feel!
Hope it's better luck for us next month - will just have to try harder! At least I still have loads of opk's to get my dates right!
