advice needed please

sorry if this is a bit obscure just didnt know who to turn to or ask.lily has no vaginal hole she has her labia or whatever it calls but no hole,only mentioned it as i had to look at my mates babies bits the other day to see if it was trush or not and she has a hole.lily doesnt ,someone help me or give me an answer please im really worried and not sure,ive tried looking on net but cant get no info,ive never bothered about it as i couldnt remember if chloe had one or not and it came with time,i probably sound really thick. she 3 in january

Took me 8 years to realise my daughter had an hearing problem and that was because of a comment from someone else.

no one tells us what to check for down there im would have thought that the midwife checks these things when LO is born. not your fault

You;re not a bad mom sometimes these things go unoticed its not exactly the sort of thing you go looking for or know wether they should have them from babies or not its not your fault huni. im sure there is a perfectly normal explanation just see what the docs say tomorrow and dont worry yourself too much xx

my daughter had this sort of thing when she was younger ( not sure if its the same tho) she had an extra bit of skin there covering the hole, and some of her wee was going back in (sorry if this dont make sense) we had to see a gyne doctor with her so that they could remove it, she was a bit sore down there for a few days but shes ok now she had her last chech 6 months ago and all was fine.
(she had other problems and they saw it on the scan, some of her wee went back in cos of the extra skin.)
we wouldnt of known anything if she didnt have other problems, so your not a bad mum at all hun

been to doctors,i cant remember what its called now but i am now waiting fir gynae or peadiatric to contact me,she will need an operation,although they dont know if they will do it till she is maybe reaching puberty as she doesnt hold enough hormone and the doctor says if they open it it may close again,he mentioned she may have to have a scan to make sure that everythings in place as it should be but just to take it all one step at a time and see how it goes

Awwwwww well done you! I think you've done really well there, and it sounds like it was really tricky to spot. So sorry for your daughter that she will need surgery in the future, but it sounds like she's got a really loving mum to support her through it.

Please don't feel guilty over this, I wouldn't have a clue what babies look like down there. I thought the doctor/HV are supposed to check.

Don't blame yourself, you're the super mum who realised something was wrong and is getting it sorted!

Hopefully the scan will show everything else is fine.
