Admitting defeat

Had a bit of a cry earlier as I tried so hard to bf exclusively but it isnt working. He is just not content and screaming of hunger.

I tried everything, saw lactation consultants, let him feed all the time etc but i am just not producing enough milk for him.

I was a bit worried as my breasts havent changed much during pregnancy and even when the milk came in.

Tried expressing, fenugreek and everything under the sun. It broke my heart to see him smiling at me after I gave him the bottle to top up.

I guess I just needed to write this down and admit I need to top up.

its nothing to be upset about hun, not everyone can bf. some babies just dont want to, its not your fault. just give him what you can as every little counts as extra goodness

Try not to be upset Hun he'll still be getting all the goodness from you Aswell as being full from the formula xx

Don't be upset, you've tried your hardest. Some people give formula at night so baby sleeps through, you've still given him a good start and maybe you will still be able to give him a few feeds throughout the day when your not so tired x

Defo don't be upset hun, you tried you're very best and that's all you can do. You have given him the best start so don't forget that. Some babies just don't suit to breastfeeding, my friends baby was the same. Once he was on formula he was a completely different little boy

I completely understand where you're coming from but the important thing is that A is happy.
You are doing the best you can, you have to remember that. Xx
