Gorgeous Aaron has been extubated today and I'm so pleased to say he's doing really well. He was playing with a toy and looked like he was really interested. Bless his wee heart. Told you all he was a soldier. Here's hoping he continues to get better and better xx

Aaron is doing good all round. His chest is better and they are slowly weaning his oxygen. He's still on quite a lot of oxygen though.

He is unfortunately going through withdrawal at the moment from the drugs that they are weaning. He isn't sleeping and isn't "compus mentus" but is wide awake. It's pretty horrible to watch. He's had 2 hrs sleep since this time last night - and that's spread over a few small power naps.

He's like a newborn baby, he has less head control than he did when he was born and generally has no strength at all, which again is to be expected but still saddens me as he was doing so well with his development.

He's due surgery on Tuesday for his bladder and that will be a big text to see if he can stay stable, as he didn't last week.

His heart surgery is getting put off until he's made a full recovery so maybe 6-12 months down the line.

Bless him that must be so heart breaking to watch him withdrawing Also I know I was so frustrated when Harry's development was held up even a bit when he was ill for 2 weeks, so it must be really hard for you. Wishing him all the best with his surgery and continued progress. Sending lots of love and just hope you guys get to go home soon and get on with life. My heart really goes out to you xxxxx

Hes making good progress
It must be sad to see his taking steps back re development when he had done so well, but Im sure he'll do even better secind time round, he always bounces back!

He just looks so dinky in the hospital bed lovely seeing him without all the ventilation and abit of colour back in his face xxx

What a great update, thank you a Tweety. It's good to hear Aaron is taking the steps to getting better and hopefully once he has came off all his meds his development will get stronger.
