please answer honestlyafter reading the following

today hubby was working out his on call rota for work. I told him to make sure he wasn't on call the week the bubba was due. Hes said

'well when is that?' Stoney silence fell across the room..as you can all imagine.

i asked him if he was joking and he said no. I couldn't believe it and i asked him to try and remember...... i could see him going red and starting to poo his pants. Then he blurted 'is it the 20th october?'
At this point i said ' Well how many weeks am i at the moment?' He looked into space as if asking God the answer. '20' he said 'no 19 ' he corrected himself.
'nearly 19 i said'
I asked him what would happen if something happened to me and they needed to know details of my pregnancy. You know what he said!!!!

''id tell then we had a bonk on or around the 22nd January

Honestly he beggars belief doesn't he.

So my quest now is to find out from you lot if your partners know
1 how many weeks you are
and
2 your due date.

:D

oh my god!!!! i was 100% sure my DH would know the answers... we talk about the birth every day and read the books together... i'm due 30th July - DH answered 3rd August... I'm 30 weeks (tomorrow) DH answered 32... then looked a little scared and said "I don't know" with his bottom lip quivering.....

MEN...

x

My oh knew it exactly and even now he knows how many weeks matthew is!

Hayley thankyou!   im not the only onewith a half wit for a hubby!  aren't they funny!

Just asked my OH ..he knows more than I do... I gave him a book to read,
because I was sick of all the stupid questions he was asking me.

E.G 'should you be wearing jeans? you might hurt the baby... my mum said she didnt wear jeans when pregnant'

arrgghh... Ive bought him 3 preg books to read :D tho he skips the labour pictures part lol

My dh didnt know how many weeks I was and got the date roughly right.
To be honest, i cant remember how many weeks I am if someone asks me outside. I know roughly. Im a bad mother. With Jess I knew it down to the day.

OMG Budge, bl**dy men need shooting.
I have to say tho. that my hubby did seem to know how many weeks I was & when Jamie was due but then I did write it on the calender so he should have known. I think Dave would have made a consious effort to know because if I asked that question & he hadn't have known his life would've been cut short!!

kris was just as bad my friend phoned once to find out my due date as she wanted to order some thing for my b aby kris answerd she asked my date and kris said "i dont no il get her to phone u"

Richard is away on a buisness trip until Friday so i'll ask him then :)

My DH knows the due date is the 7th September, but would have no idea how many weeks I am. He works in months, and usually says something like 'about 5 months'. I know he cares, and is as excited about this as I am, but men focus on different things. He wasn't worried at all about the scans, blood tests or anything, whereas I was petrified.

I'm sure that your OH's do care, it's just that it isn't on their mind 24/7 like us. Just remember, it is us that are uncomfortable and being kicked to death from the inside, not them.

I bet that was annoying!!!! haha ... has he been discussing with the MIL what you are wearing!! xxx

His mothers been asking what im eating, doing, wearing and thinking and commenting on everything!

Shes driving me insane and I dont get to see her much I just hear what shes been saying through my OH. She told him to tell me not to buy a cot because id buy the wrong one  so I kindly told my OH where his mother could stick this cot of hers that she wants to buy. :)

Also well in a ranting mood lol ...she TOLD us that she will be taking the baby for a few days after I get out of hospital! (bloody mother in laws)

xxx

Im gonna have to ask OH those questions now just to see!! Mwah ha ha!

He knows when the baby is due.....but he didn't know how many weeks I was...he said 22!!!! Muppet!!

I was really surprised at this as I thought he knew!

Looks like your OH is not alone!!

Violet-glow, your comments made me laugh, as with me it's more my mother rather than mother-in-law. My poor sister had her first baby last year - my mom's first grand child and my sister had the worst time with my mom, my mom was so over possesive and obviously knew it all better!! fortunately she doesn't live in England so she can't pop round every two minutes. Think she realised her mistakes and that she is a grandmother (and not a mother), she still has a long way to go though. My OH had asked if I wanted her at the birth - NO CHANCE, other than him, the MV's and doctors I don't want no mass gathering of family!

That would be weird all those onlookers wouldnt it :?

Could you imagine what that would be like, I dread to think.
