Isaac has his 8wk injections today, and I just wanted to ask if its common for babies to sleep after them? Only Isaac is quite an awake baby and I don't want to be too paranoid about him sleeping a lot afterwards if its normal :? We don't have a baby thermometer either, so do you think we should buy one, otherwise how will we know if he has a high temp, he sometimes feels hot these days as its warm  I'm aware they can get fever or raised temperature which can be a sign somethings wrong :|

Arianna usually sleeps alot after a jab, so dont worry.

I think Boots do thermometers for a couple of pounds if you want.

Maia slept alot after her jabs last week but I put the down to the dose of calpol we were advised to give her!

Ryan had his today aswell. He had some calpol straight away and slept for a good while but he woke up a few hours ago, had some more capol and has SCREAMED ever since.

I feel so bad cos I cant help him, nothing will stop him from crying, not even going for a drive which usually sends him straight to sleep :(

Evie had her last set of injections today (phew they are over and done with) and she has sleep almost all day. She has done with all of her injections. Its perfectly ok for them to be sleepy, so tey not to worry (easier said than done i know).
However in my experince she was quite bad with her 8 week ones and then the other two after that she was fine. :D

Ryans been a bit more settled since this afternoon. His eyes look so weird though, sort of glazed over. I know its nothing serious cos he's still really alert and stuff but I hate him feeling poorly :(

Kirsty I am glad to hear Ryan's settled down, poor little babes, it really is quite a sad experience really when you're there isn't it    I thought I'd be fine, no problem, but when he cried I thought OMG I'm going to sob here, but I held it together for him :?

Isaac cried after his but then 5mins later he was laughing his head off  then before settling later that night he had a few episodes of real pain cries, it was horrible, but during night feeds he was fine and he's been fine today so not too bad thankfully (I ended up buying an electronic thermometer and giving him 2.5ml Calpol at 8.30pm just in case)

willow has had all her injections now and she was a bit sleepy to start with then she was a bit unsettles for a couple of days

i would deffo buy a theromoniter (SP) we got ours from argos and it is an in the ear one called summer it takes seconds its a bit expensive £25 i think but well worth the money as evrtytime willow is a bit grisley i just check her temp to make sure she is ok.

He seems to have been fine after his jabs, he's had exactly 7.5ml of Calpol in total since them for the couple of occassions where he's seemed to be hurting, but there's no bruising from them and he's very active and happy so I'm guessing he's fine :D

I got an electronic thermometer in the end Becky  I'm sure it will come in handy over the years and so money well spent, got it from Sainsbury's £39.99.
