8 week vaccinations

Poor Maia has her jabs tomorrow morning, I'm so worried for her.

DH is coming too as he has this week off so I told him he has to hold her!

I've been told to give her calpol straight afterwards to ward off a fever.

I was wondering how other people's babies had reacted to the vaccinations, any problems afterwards?

Arianna was fine after all her vaccinations. I never gave her calpol unless she needed it.

If your husband isnt comfortable holding her either dont worry - the health visitor can hold her while the nurse gives the jabs - this is what I do and then I am just there for the nice cuddles afterwards.

Do have a bottle (or breast if BF) ready as this will comfort her afterwards too.

She'll be fine tho

I thought my son would react badly to the vaccinations but in the end he cried for one minute and then was back to normal. He never got a temperature or anything. The nurse said his thighs where the injections were put might be a little bit swollen but nothing like that happened. He hardly reacted at all, the same with his TB injection. He has the little blister on his arm but doesn't notice it at all and cried for about 1 minute and then was back to normal. He's got to have his second lot of jabs in one week and I am hoping he won't react to them either.

It wasn't too bad actually, she cried for a few minutes but better than I expected. Phew.

She's fine at the moment playing in her bouncer. Hopefully she won't get a temperature.

willow was fine after all her injections heakth wise but i found after hher 3rd lot she was a bit grumpy for a couple of days.

Isaac has his on Monday, hopefully he'll breeze through it too, I'll have a boob at the ready
