6 week check

my doctor informed me that they dont do them anymore i had to see him anyway cos i had preeclampsia and needed to come off the blood pressure meds but what if i hadnt?! i mightve not seen anyone!!

any of you guys get one?

I got one..but in regards to checking me it was pointless! She just asked if I was ok and everything was good and then went on to Paige. I was told it was a half hour appointment but I couldnt of been in there for anymore than 10 minutes! She didnt even ask to see my scar which I was really shocked about.

thats rubbish that she didnt look at your scar!!!

I had one at 6 weeks ad then livs was at 8 and she had her 2nd lot of injections yesterday x

they dont do 6week checks here either! i got one after i had k cos of my 3rd degree tear, but i never got the appt thru this time! wish i'd pushed for one now tho!

Yes I have one on Monday, I'm going to ask for a referral to a physio as I have major abdominal separation; at least 4 fingers width which worries me heaps. You should definitely see a GP if you've had a section I think

i had a 6 week ckeck, but she didnt check anything. just talked bout contaception n said my stitches would get checked at next smear test

wierd how variable it is, surey we either need it or we dont?!!?!

Youd think preeclampsia and c section might get followed up, I had to make the appointment myself

As far as I know we don't have them here either...I had 1 wiv my elder 2 but not wiv my 3rd. They all had a check at 8 weeks tho. I know I was under mw care longer last time presumably cos of my section but my gp never checked my scar xxx

Jacob had a check at 8 weeks. All they did for me was ask me how I was feeling, weigh me if I wanted and ask about contraception!!

Both Cahal and myself have our appointments on Tuesday, it was booked automatically for us, I just got a letter through the post. We had the last health visitor appointment yesterday too, they don't see him again until he is 8 months old now which surprised me!

I don't get a 6 week check either, so I have booked to see mine at 6 weeks. Toby has his at 8 weeks (?) with his injections...
