6 month old - 3.5lbs gain in 3wks - normal?

Hi all, can't believe our LO's are almost 6 months old! Anyone else notice some extra weight gain in past few wks? I know they go through a growth spurt at 5months and she certainly had a week of drinking lots but 3.5lbs in 3wks?? Is that alright? She has been on solids for 7wks now 2x per day but she hasn't reduced her milk quantity yet....Im guessing this can take a while?

Sounds absolutely fine. What does your health visitor say? Oliver was born on 50th centile and shot up to 98th for approx 6 months and then started slowing down and leveling out. Sounds like you're doing a great job! x

Both my two really started packing weight on from this age. Neither were big milk guzzlers though and we weaned them both at four months which they both took to really well. My youngest has also really shot up length ways too recently, his cot has suddenly gotten a lot snugger!

HI guys, she has grown 5inches since 3months so guessing some of it could be that be it. so long as it is typical weight gain im not concerned was just surprised I guess after steady weight gain over past two months...
