Sorry me again i'm just trying to digest everything after my appointment today and I know you ladies are fab at this sort of thing.

So i'm going in to hospital on Monday for a long stay, possibly about 3 weeks.
Baby is transverse and just like my son, refusing to budge. Midwives think its down to my pelvis being too small for babies head to go in and no coincidence that I have only carried a baby in this position.

Soo, as it is so dangerous to go in to labour naturally with a transverse baby I am being hospitalized from 36 weeks until c section somewhere around 39 weeks.

I have just about sorted childcare arrangements for that period of time but my question is what else do I need to sort.
I have 6 days until I am completely out of the picture until I come home with a baby so this is it!
I want to get the house tidy, do a food shop for hubby whilst i'm away etc but can you help me put a list together so that I can feel that everything is organized?
Thanks ladies x

Write yourself a to do list and include all major operations of a normal week, and just make sure that baby's room is ready for use for when you come back.

Try not to over think on things you have to do, I have found that men can be quite resourceful when they have to be!

Jessie, wow! So soon!!! Make sure you bring a book with you to help pass the time.

may I suggest you ask your husband or your friend/family to do a tidy up and clean of your house just before you return home? You will be fed up and exhausted after such a long stay, and a nice clean home will be invaluable to come back to!

Also, maybe cook a few meals and freeze them? That's for you to come home to :)

Will you have Internet while you are there?

Thanks Both. Good call on the book Bigbee I'm trying to think of different time passing options whilst im in. And yes i'l have internet and i'll be majorly stalking you May mummies lol.

How do you even pack a bag for a 3 weeks stay!! I'll obviously have to send hubby home with washing as i don't even have many clothes left that fit me lol.

Feeling quite gutted that this is how it's turned out again, I really thought i'd get to try a natural birth this time, not be in a situation again where medical professionals will do anything possible to stop it.

I've started a list of things I need to do but not much on it so far. Oh and I completely agree about wanting to come home to a tidy house!!

Could you arrange for a food shop to be delivered once a week? Just the basics: milk, bread, eggs, potatoes, veg etc...

I know that would massively help my OH if I wasn't here x

Ah jessie- must be quite stressful but honestly it is surprising what people are capable of when they have to be so OH and your little one will be absolutely fine :)
Perhaps a good idea to set a washing/ ironing regime for someone, just so you don't cone home to a mountain to face with a new teeny person to look after as well? I hate ironing so am trying to keep on top of it to make sure when the time comes there isn't a mountain to do when I get back out! X
