Well from one fairly new arrival here, I'm enjoying being on the forum and anything that has gone on lately that has caused problems and upset has not put me off. I've read much of what has gone on, having been home today and around to browse here. I chose to remain out of it as it really was not something I felt I wanted or needed to become involved in.
I'm a grown woman, able to stand up and speak for myself, with a lot of forum experience elsewhere behind me. Of course, not so much of the old female hormones flying round on other forums I frequent and moderate, but they don't scare me!
I think often, large groups of women together, especially when such different ages, backgrounds and experiences it can make for an interesting forum, to say the least.
Of course people need to remember and abide by the forum rules. If we can't respect them and others here, them it spoils it for others. I prefer not to descend into bitchy comments or sly digs or poor attempts at humour. Often they can be misunderstood by others reading them than they might if in person. In my time online I've learnt what is written or intended often translates very differently to all those reading it. People maybe need to remember that sometimes it might just be better to say nothing or rethink how they are saying something or simply to be prepared for some heat in return.
And if in doubt, during the heat of an argument or debate, I always walk away from the computer and take a few deep breaths and calm down. Speaking first and dealing with the consequenses later does no one any good in the long run.
So yes, thats me.
Liking it here and hoping people can hopefully work out their differences and we can all get along better.
