4 weeks and can't sleep

Hi, I got my bfp yesterday and still feel shocked and surreal. Friday night and tonight I have woken up and been unable to get back to sleep. I've been awake now since about 3am. I have finally given up and come downstairs because I'm bored of lying in bed not sleeping.
Is anyone else suffering from insomnia?? X

I did when I first got my BFP last weekend. Your mind just goes into overdrive I think. Settled down now.

The first night I didn't know I was pregnant and really thought I was out because of bad timings so I wasn't even thinking about it. I think I remember going through this in previous pregnancies, I just can't remember how long it lasted x

Yep me, last time I was pregnant, I was exhausted yet I'd get into bed and I was wide awake.
That stopped when I got to about 7 weeks x

I'm constantly up every couple hours at the moment x

I sympathise, I don't struggle to fall asleep but I wake up between 3-4am every morning really hot and needing the loo, then I'm up every couple of hours and I find it hard to get back to sleep. I know needing the loo is a pregnancy symptom but I'm not sure if the trouble sleeping is or if I'm just anxious. I sort of feel like I'm noever going to have peaceful nights sleep again! But it will all be worth it xxx

It's awful isn't it. I had a nap at 4 this afternoon, I say nap it was more a quick doze then lying in bed feeling like I was on fire! I cannot stand the heat, I'm like a mini radiator x
