That's okay, always remember there is next cycle. I swore up and down that it would only take us 1 cycle. This is our 3rd.

^^Thank you, I didn't come on here yesterday when AF finally arrived as I couldn't face typing that I was out (silly I know) and today I was still feeling really disappointed but starting to feel more positive about the whole situation. We know it can take a few cycles and looking back we're not sure we even had sex enough in my fertile period as we thought I was going to ovulate earlier than I did - so only had sex a day before I think I would have seen my positive OPK (missed it though)

That happened our 2nd cycle. We DTD 6 days before ovulation and we were travelling separately and missed ovulation by 2 days... this time around, we made sure to BD everyday 5 days before my estimated O and 2 days after.. that's like a whole week of BD but that was mainly because I was super aroused that entire time...

Sorry Donna. The average time people have to try is 3-6 months. I know loads of people on here get pregnant first try, but that's not reality.

We've been trying for 8 months now and I got my BFP this morning! Its only 10dpo so pretty happy with that line! We tried the SMEP plan this month so I'd recommend that to anyone trying

I'm using pre-seed and SMEP this month so fingers crossed I join you soon! (cycle 2 of trying, haven't been BBT all month as didn't take thermometer on holiday so natural cycles not able to confirm ovulation on that yet, but LH + on CD10 and now CD15).

@sydney I could never do BBT. I tried a few times but I'd always forget and the charts seemed a bit unreliable anyway.. people online often have perfect baby charts and then not be pregnant. Too confusing for me haha. Good luck, sounds like you're doing everything right x

I hope so!! It's crazy what the mind does though. I've now got it into my head that I'm having issues with oestrogen dominance as literally around my post LH test, my breast have been sore and tender and I was woken in the night a few nights ago (like CD13-14) with this breast pain, pulling behind the nipple which I've never had before. I normally get sore bbs just before AF, but the last two cycles, mid-cycle onwards... so mean of my body and does make me worry about my hormones.

My boobs usually hurt from 7dpo but I've had many many cycles where my boobs hurt from 1dpo, so I really wouldn't worry about your hormones. They fluctuate month to month anyway. You've only just started trying - odds are that you're totally normal

My boobs hurt at different times throughout my cycle too (and different each cycle) I don't think it's anything to worry about - I think hormones fluctuate and we are just way more aware of aches and pains when we're TTC than when we're just getting on with things.

My period has been really weird this month, I had a day of spotting - followed by two days of heavy bleeding one light and I'm now on my third day of spotting. Which is quite unusual for me - but since deciding we would be TTC my cycles have been different - so I think it's just one of those things
