38 Week Appointment Today

Well after the night i had with madam i thought that the midwife was gonna say her head is well engaged but no there was no change from two weeks ago when she was 4/5 palpable

Also she has moved to a back to back position, no wonder with her acrobatic activity last night. Does anyone know if that is why i have incredible back ache today? I forgot to ask her

Gotta try and turn her back, so will be spending a lot of time leaning over my gym ball this weekend.

BP is fine, had a slight trace of protein in my sample but she said nothing to worry about.

We also discussed my birthplan which i must write this weekend too.
Also found out that if i go overdue i get a sweep generally around term+8. Induction anytime after term+10.

I am praying she comes before then because i am liking the idea of using the pool for delivering, although odds on me having it are low as my hospital only has one pool Plus i am ready for her now i am just not comfortable at all now.

Gotta go and see the GP next week for 39 weeks i hope i can get her to turn her back around.

Sorry chick, i cant answer your back ache question, i have had a bad back all the way through!!

There is still 2 weeks left for your madam to turn tho so i wouldnt really dwell on it!!

Hopefully the movements on the gym ball will help her move around and ease the back ache.

Im hoping for a water birth too and my hospital only has one pool so im hoping its free.

I hope baby turns for you Charlie and that you are able to have the birth that you want.

I am exactly the same time as you and if I don't pop before I am being induced 1st April. I really wanted to go naturally, but due to the GD they don't want me to go over.

I'll have my fingers crossed for you...and keep leaning over that birth ball

I am feeling a little more positive today, gonna be leaning over the ball alot to get her to move.

Yep gymbabeliz i was dissapointed when she hadnt engaged any more than two weeks ago, will be hoping she gets down there soon

I had a good nights sleep tho last night, took some painkillers for my back and my mum got hold of a big bottle of gaviscon advance for me from her work. I slept nearly all the night through only waking once for the loo. The heartburn didnt bother me all night
I feel so much better today.
