Sorry for tmi title...

But here's the thing, I am having very uncomfortable pressure in the ractum/pelvic area, a little similar to the feeling i got when I was in labour and wanting to PUSH...now, I am a little constipated (tmi...soweeee) but after a BM the pressure is not relieved. I have had this just under a week now...any clues as to what could be causing it? I thinking...just maybe, my son has moved into position as I feel hiccups incredibly low down the pelvic area and definite leg kicks higher up...could it be related? Anyone else feel the same or experienced it?

I am seeing my midwife tomorrow for routine check, so I will mention it to her.

Also, I do have PGP...could it be just another side effect of this

Hmmm not sure hun, maybe it's just the head engaging? Surely this can't be the pushing stage for you yet :) Hopefully the MW can shed some light on this x

I'm sooooo pleased you opened this thread. I have exactly the same thing. I saw my MW y'day and before I was even finished talking (not keen on my MW she's very memene and not a lot about my baby) she just said "that will be hemaroids" I'm not a prude or one to think how dare you etc BUT I do NOT have piles! She never asked what the pain/pressure was like etc and I got paranoid I got hubby to have a lot and I have no hemaroids. So I know it's not that. I was then convinced I would go into labour or something due to the pain but nope.....the pain has passed onto my front now as well but not as bad!!

I'm 34 weeks today x

I had this really really strong at 25 weeks, I went to maternity assesment because I was sure I wanted to push the baby out. They checked me and all was fine but I did later read up that it's a lesser know symptom of PGP xx

Pelvic girdle pressure mummy mouse. Without being bold to diagnose you, but sounds like you might have mild symptoms if you are also feeling in your groin. I have pretty debilitating hip/pelvic pain, so I struggle walking some days or sitting and bed time is a nightmare, just can't twist or get in and out if bed without my hips fgrinding, clicking and feeling like I have someone trying to spread my legs further than they should...but, it does get better once baby is born, which makes it more bearable. Also, I have pressure/pain on my groin, sometimes it feels a little like thrush but without the itching...really hard to explain, or similar having rode a bike for far too long...speak to your midwife about it if it's sore for you...

Ok, midwife wasn't too concerned about it, baby is in breach position at the moment so not head engaging...she did mention it MIGHT be due to PGP but most. Likely hemaroids. Now, again, I did think that I might have piles because of certain other symptoms, plus very common in third trimester, I had them with my first pregnancy. You cannot always see hemaroids mummy mouse, they can be internal and more likely to be internal if you are having rectal pressure. I would believe mine to be due to piles. So high fibre diet and plenty of water, see if I can be 'regular' and relieve some pressure. I have to...it's getting quite uncomfortable and very painful when I move suddenly.

Hope this helps?

Thank you ladies for your advice :)
